Sebastian Sommer (born February 5, 1993) is an American filmmaker.
Growing up in New York City, he studied Film at Tisch School of the
Arts.His work has appeared in Vice, Dazed, Out, Purple, BlackBook, and
Filmmaker.Sommer is known for his prolific output of short films and
his collaborations with high-profile figures. Much of Sommer's work is
based around the surreal nature and absurdism involved in fashion, the
internet, heartbreak, fame, and death. He has premiered some of his
work at the Tribeca Film Festival, Miami Film Festival, Guggenheim
Museum, and The Standard. Sommer was the assistant editor on Yosemite,
a feature film starring James Franco.Paper named him one of "10 People
to Follow on Instagram This Month" in May 2016.
