American silent film actor.He was born on January 9, 1875 in
Manhattan, New York City.Entering films with the Selig and Vitagraph
film company, Carroll starred in 140 films between 1911 and 1927,
including such works as 1916's The Twinkler.He died of a heart attack
in 1928.
