actress. She is best known for her role as C.C. Babcock on The
Nanny.Lane was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and raised in
Arlington, Texas. She attended Lamar High School and received a
Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Texas at
Arlington. Lane also earned a Master's degree in the advanced training
program at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. In ,
she briefly taught at Carnegie Mellon University. Lane is on the
faculty of the Department of Theatre and Dance at Texas State
University in San Marcos.Lane was married to businessman David Wilkins
