Eric Omondi,(born 9th march 1985) is a Kenyan comedian and an
entertainer. He was popularly known while performing as a comedian on
Churchill show which aired on NTV. Hailing from the Luo community Eric
was born in a family of four siblings and was raised in Kisumu County
where he attended Kondele primary school and later Kisumu boys before
joining daystar university in Athi river where he perused a
Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication and Journalism.Currently
Eric Omondi is one of the best comedians and content creators in
Africa and a was named among the top ten funniest men in Africa.He
renounced performing on Churchill Show and tried starting several solo
shows such as; ‘Eric Omondi Untamed’ and ‘Hawayu’ among others
but they all turned out to be a series of miss calculated maneuvers.
He also worked as a reporter on NTV but was sucked two weeks later
after just doing one story which turned out to be a mess.His journey
to where he is today is credited to the father of stand-up comedy,
Daniel Ndambuki (Churchill). The two met in 2006 and exchanged numbers
after Eric impressed in a gig he was performing. Two years later,
Churchill invited him to the Churchill show of what turned out to be
an opportunity of a lifetime. His debut at the Churchill Show was not
what he expected but he picked up fast and won the hearts of many.
