Sarah Natochenny (born September 20, 1987) is an American voice
actress, most famous for providing the English dub voice of the main
character Ash Ketchum in the Pokémon anime series since 2006's
"Battle Frontier" (Generation III) at the age of 19.Natochenny is a
native of Forest Hills, Queens in New York City. When she was 12, she
participated in the Junior Olympics where she won a bronze medal in
rhythmic gymnastics. She has worked with the Lee Strasberg Theatre
Institute's Young Actors Program, Upright Citizens Brigade and Magnet
Theatre.Natochenny recalled that she was 11 when the Pokémon anime
started airing in English. At the age of 19, she auditioned and landed
the lead role of Ash Ketchum starting with the show's ninth season in
2006, replacing Veronica Taylor.
