director.Zu-Aretz was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, to a Ladino-speaking
family of Sephardic Jewish (Libyan-Jewish, Turkish-Jewish, and
Greek-Jewish) descent.In , following his military service in the
Israeli Air Force Band, Zu-Aretz began studying acting at the Hillel
Ne'eman school and acting in front of the camera with Ruth Deichs.
