vaudevilles.Lensky debuted as an actor at the Maly Theatre in 1824,
but found success as a writer of vaudeville acts. His best known work
is Lyov Gurych Sinichkin ili provintsiabmia debiutantka ("Lev Gurych
Sinichkin, or A Provincial Debutante").
